I just saw a note from Fatima Sharafeddine — author and translator of dozens of  Arabic children’s books as well as a beautiful YA novel, Faten — about establishing a children’s library:

Dear Friends,

I am launching a campaign to establish a children’s library in Jaafarieh School in Tyre (Sour). The goal is to collect donations of used or new books and/or money so that by September the children Will have a rich library with well chosen books, decent furniture, and a welcoming environment.
