Sunday Submissions: A New Press for Poetry in Translation

Circumference Books is a new press for poetry in translation that launched last month:

Their books:

…highlight the process of translation and how that work is rooted in collaboration. Each multi-lingual project will foreground original design solutions, making visual the relationships between languages, cultures, writers, and translators.

Their first two titles are scheduled for release in 2019, and are Camouflage by Lupe Gómez, translated from Galician by Erín Moure, and Tell Me, Kenyalang, selected poems of Kulleh Grasi, translated from Malay and Iban by Pauline Fan.

You can get in touch with them via Twitter, Facebook, and email, or sign up for their mailing list.

Since it’s #WITMonth, of course, you should pitch them women’s poetry. There is a surprising dearth of Arabic poetry by women in English translation, so do use that in your pitch.
