Ramadan Storytelling, Poetry Events in Cairo

On the 23rd and 30th of August, storyteller and author (Diary of a Spinster) Abeer Soliman will perform a Thousand and One Nights, both from Naguib Mahfouz’s Arabian Nights and Days (ليالي ألف ليلة) and the classic ليالي ألف ليلة.

At the Diwan Heliopolis from 10:00 to 11:30 p.m.

Other Ramadan spoken-word events include the Sawy Culture Wheel’s Colloquial Poetry Festival and the wheel’s Folklore from Upper Egypt. And many others, I’m sure.
