POSTPONED: ‘The Translator as Hero’: A Talk by Dr. Ferial Ghazoul

Dr. Ferial Ghazoul’s talk tomorrow, “The Translator as Hero,” has been postponed. According to an email from Dr. Samia Mehrez, head of the American University in Cairo’s Center for Translation Studies:

I regret to inform you that the CTS In Translation Lecture “The Translator as Hero: Arab Writers and the Fictional Turn in Translation Studies” by Professor Ferial Ghazoul scheduled for Tuesday, April 12 in Oriental Hall, AUC Tahrir Campus has been postponed due to the ongoing situation in Tahrir and in accordance with the decision by the AUC VP for Planning to postpone all public events on Tahrir Campus till further notice.

I will update you on the new schedule as soon as the current situation changes.
