Not just anything you can dig out of a drawer or find posted on Facebook, of course. Issue 14 Poetry Editor Elisabeth Watson says, “I’m seeking translators and poets who are passionate about bringing unknown and innovative poetry to English readers.”
Interested translators can contact the magazine or post their interest below. Watson will be happy to pass along a review copy of the most recent issue of Tribes, so translators can get an idea for the variety of works and poets recently featured.
Note to other U.S. or U.K. literary magazine editors: Wouldn’t you like to feature more work in translation, not just from Arabic, but also (who knows) from Bengali or German? We can help you. Just ask.
