Join Us Tomorrow for the Inaugural May Ziadeh Salon and Book Pre-Launch

Who was May Ziadeh (1886-1941) and why was she an important part of Arabic letters? Tomorrow, we invite you to an introductory salon at which we’ll discuss and read from Ziadeh’s Musings of a Young Woman (forthcoming, ArabLit Books).

Join scholars, translators, editors, & poets on Sunday May 31, 2026 at 12 p.m. ET, 5 p.m. London, 7 p.m. Lebanon and Palestine to learn more about May Ziadeh, her writing, and her importance to the early twentieth century literary scene.

Including Dana Al Shahbari, Ibtihal Mahmood, Chloe Bordewich, Layla Alammar, Rose DeMaris (talking about May’s poetry), M Lynx Qualey, Mennan Salih, and probably — hopefully — Marilyn Booth.
