As in previous years, the 2025 READ PALESTINE WEEK will run from November 29-December 5.
Read Palestine Week is seven days when people around the world read – publicly and in community – as part of the global resistance to the genocide of the Palestinian people. To this end, publishers, librarians, & booksellers will share free reads, host events, and recommend books.
This year, organizers have a particular focus on material support, which means raising funds to support Palestinian writers in & evacuated from Gaza. As in part years, there will be events as well as more than 25 free books in eight languages available at the Publishers for Palestine website, including new books by Hala Alyan, Haidar Eid, Zeina Sleiman, Kaleem Hawa, as well as the classic short-story collection Book of Gaza, ed. Atef Abu Saif.
#ReadPalestine Week events will kick off with a 24-hour Global Solidarity reading that begins and ends in Palestine. Those interested in attending can sign up through the Pamenar Press YouTube channel, or just show up on November 29.
