This isn’t specific to Women in Translation Month, but surely you’d have a leg up for the Titled Axis Mentorship — “designed to support a UK based translator from a Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic background” — if you also sometimes translate women:
They clarify that emerging means “a translator who has not yet published a literary text. Applicants with commercial translation experience are encouraged.”
To apply:
1) CV and Covering Letter
2) 1000 words Sample Translation and Original Text
3) 750 word project proposal
Send these in a single email with the subject line: Emerging Translator Mentorship – [Language] – [Your Name] to translation@nationalcentreforwriting.org.uk
Find more information on the National Centre for Writing website.
