I don’t see anything new on the Diwan (Cairo) bestseller list (is Taxi really still a top seller?), and the Magrudy’s (Dubai) list has only English titles. Amazon.Com has a list of Arabic best-sellers, but it’s mostly translations and children’s books.
So I’m thankful Kotob Khan (Cairo) has again posted their bimonthly Arabic best-sellers.
I was interested to see that Anba Bishoy’s Response to Azazel is such a sought-after item—more indeed than Azazel—although it still comes after Professor Zeidan’s top-selling Arab Theology. Also new to the list this month is the Arabic translation of Randa Abdel-Fattah’s When the Streets Had a Name, a YA book by the best-selling author of Does My Head Look Big in This?
I do hope it’s making its way into young people’s hands.
