Monthly Book Discussion at Kotob Khan May 27, 2010 by mlynxqualey From the discussion of "Old People Sitting on Benches" By Al Taher Sharqawy that took place last night. Courtesy (or stolen from) the Kotob Khan facebook page. You can sign up for updates from Kotob Khan and the Diwan bookstores. (Note that Diwan has an interesting lineup for the grand opening of their new Alexandria branch.) However, I’m not sure how you sign up to receive updates about events at Shorouk or Maktabat el Balad or the AUC Press bookstore or elsewhere. If you know, please share. Usually their more “important” events are advertised in the AUC Alumni newsletter (I think). But there’s also Alef Bookstores, which is a new chain that’s opened in Heliopolis & Zamalek, (and I think will open in Maadi soon), and they have a lot of interesting events. You can sign up for their newsletter on their website: http://www.alefbookstores.com. For the Kotob Khan newsletter, you can also find a place to sign up for it on their website, but I’m not sure if they include all their events in the newsletter. P.S. I’m really enjoying your blog. Clearly, I need to get out from under my rock. I’m subscribed now, and I’ll have to check it out with all due haste. Thanks! Loading... Ooops. Thought Kotob Khan was on your list of don’t-know-how-to-get-updates. Sorry about that. Don’t know about Shorouk and Maktabet El Balad bookstores’ newsletters/updates. Loading... Comments are closed.
