The London Book Fair is now accepting applications and nominations for their 2017 Literary Translation Initiative Award:
According to their guidelines, you can:
A) nominate a third party organisation, OR
B) enter your own organisation.
Remember that you are aiming to convince the judging panel, and make a clear case for your nomination/submission.
According to the LBF website, the criteria are “organisations that have succeeded in raising the profile of literature in translation, promoting literary translators, and encouraging new translators and translated works.”
To be eligible, you must be a “company or organisation operating outside the UK, whose scope of achievement is outside the UK.”
Last year’s winner was the US-based Words Without Borders.
Those who are interested can apply or nominate online.
The ceremony is set for March 14, 2017, at the Olympia Conference Centre in London.
