A Cult Classic: Ahmed Bouanani Day in NYC and DC
Beloved Moroccan author Ahmed Bouanani (1938–2011) was beloved for his film “Mirage” and his single novel, The Hospital, which has finally been published in Lara Vergnaud’s English translation, although he also wrote evocative, somethings-creepy prose poetry, two collections of which were brought together in The Shutters, translated by Emma Ramadan:
