Dardishi is looking for art and writing by Arab and North African womxn on the theme of “family” for their inaugural zine:
Organizers write that their “use of the term womxn includes non-binary and intersex people and trans women.”
The deadline for their first issue is January 31st 2019, and they aim to accept work “in many forms. For example, in the past we have published photography, illustration, poetry, interviews, short stories, personal essays and non-fiction writing.”
They are accepting submissions via Google docs, and those sent in by email or over social media won’t be considered.
They add that:
Dardishi Issue 1 will be launched and sold at Dardishi Festival on March 8th 2019. All proceeds will go towards the Festival, which is a not-for-profit Festival of Arab and North African womxn’s art.
Those who have questions can send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
