If You’re in D.C., ‘Writing the Taboo: The Writing of Palestine in US Theater’

The event, hosted by the American University’s Arab World Studies program, will be held on March 7 in the Hughes Formal Lounge (that’s the Hughes Building, opposite the Kogod Building).

Playwright Ismail Khalidi will host a discussion and Q&A about the craft of play-writing, set to begin at 3 pm For those interested in attending, note that RSVP is required.

At 5, Khalidi will give a reading from his published works — the reading is open and does not require RSVP.

Ismail Khalidi is an award-winning playwright. His Tennis in Nablus premiered in 2010 (review here by ArabLit’s Jennifer Sears). His other works include Truth Serum Blues (Pangea World Theatre) and Final Status
