Sunday Submissions: Khayrallah Prize, Artistic Expression of Lebanese Diaspora

Organizers are now accepting submissions for the fourth annual Khayrallah Prize:

Based out of NC State University, the annual prize recognizes “the best artistic expression of the experiences of the Lebanese diaspora.”

According to organizers:

Whether in visual art, written work, performance or electronic medium, the Khayrallah Prize identifies, awards and publicly honors those whose original work captures the experiences of Lebanese immigrants, their relationship to Lebanon and their new homes, and their communities and peregrinations. The winner will receive a monetary prize of $2500, and will be invited to NC State University to receive the prize at a public ceremony with a presentation of their winning contribution.

Previous winners include Lebanese-French novelist Charif Majdalani, Lebanese-American novelist Joseph Geha, and Lebanese-Australian playwright David Joseph.

The deadline for submissions is August 31st, 2018.
