July 7: PalFest in London
After 10 years, the Palestine Festival of Literature took a break in 2018 to consider the fest’s role in the coming decade:
But on Saturday, July 7 the festival will do a one-day event with “Artists for Palestine UK” in London. They’ll be at Toynbee Studios on Commercial Street from 2:30 to 10 p.m. According to PalFest founder Ahdaf Soueif, “There’ll be a panel, talks, music, books and food – all with the focus on the relationship between Palestine and London in 2018.”
Participants are set to include former Palfestivians Maan Abu Taleb, Diana Buttu, William Dalrymple, Kassem Eid, Omar Robert Hamilton, Rachel Holmes, Hannah Khalil, Kareem Samara, Kamila Shamsie, Ahdaf Soueif and William Sutcliffe. Entry is free.
