The magazine Modern Poetry in Translation has launched an online translation workshop focused on Adil Latefi’s poem “Debate.”
The prize is open for submissions until January 31, 2020.
Today, The New Yorker announced the ten-book longlist for the “Translated Literature” category of the 2019 National Book Award.
“We hope to create more space for diverse voices from the region to be heard elsewhere, not for what they “represent,” but for the unique, singular vision each of them provides.”
They are, they write, “looking for the best unpublished translations (into English) under 1,000 words.”
The finalists include two novels translated from Arabic.
