It’s a fact—and I grow more certain of this as time goes by—that no matter how many folks we encounter as time goes by, some of their faces strike a chord deep within us. They somehow burrow into our souls, forever marking the course of our lives.
We are delighted to announce that the winners of the 2022 ArabLit Story Prize are Belal Fadi and James Scanlan, for Scanlan’s translation of Fadl’s “The Kid Sheikh” (!الشيخ العَيِّل).
We at ArabLit are delighted to announce that this year’s judges selected four stories for the shortlist of the 2022 ArabLit Story Prize, by four writers from four countries: Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, and Libya.
