Prominent Lebanese publisher, filmmaker, researcher, organizer, and commentator Lokman Slim was found dead Thursday morning. He was 59.
Lebanese author Charif Majdalani has won a 2020 Prix Femina “special jury prize” for his “Beyrouth 2020: Journal d’un effondrement.”
The first prize, worth €20,000, will be equally divided between the winning author and translator. Two runners-up and their translators will receive a prize of €1,000 each.
