The Sheikh Zayed Book Award today announced shortlists in three more categories: Translation (into and out of Arabic), “Arab Culture in Other Languages,” and “Publishing & Technology.” All three had multilingual shortlists.

Judging chair for the 2022 International Prize of Arabic Fiction, Choukri al-Mabkhout, today announced the prize’s six shortlisted novels for this year. For the first time, the shortlist included novels written by authors from the UAE and Oman.

Yesterday, organizers of the Sheikh Zayed Book Award (SZBA) announced the shortlisted entries in its three categories: literature, emerging author, and children’s literature.

The 2022 ArabLit Story Prize will open to submissions on March 31, 2022. This year, we have three distinguished judges who are jointly short-story authors, publishers, editors, and translators.
